2024 NFL Pro Bowl: teams, players and rosters for AFC vs NFC

The NFL Pro Bowl selections were recently announced, recognizing outstanding performances from players across the league.

The San Francisco 49ers stand out with an impressive nine players earning Pro Bowl nods, showcasing their dominance in the 2023 season. This marks the highest number of Pro Bowl selections for any team since 2013, underscoring the 49ers’ collective prowess.

NFC

The Dallas Cowboys also field a strong contingent with seven players making the Pro Bowl roster. However, the focus shifts to the Los Angeles Rams, who boast four deserving teammates securing their spots. Notable figures like Aaron Donald and Matthew Stafford receive due acknowledgment, while newcomers like offensive rookie standout Puka Nakuwa and running back Kye Williams make their presence felt.

A particular highlight is Kye Williams’ impressive Pro Bowl nod, considering his unexpected ascent in the league. Despite missing five games, Williams emerged as a leader in rushing yards, displaying his ability to seize opportunities and make a significant impact. The Rams, facing injuries and challenges, have proven that this season is far from a rebuilding year, as they punch their ticket to the postseason with key players shining in the Pro Bowl spotlight.

The snubs

Despite the accolades, discussions about notable snubs from the Pro Bowl roster always arise. In the NFC, quarterback Jared Goff stands out as a surprising omission, given his impressive statistical performance with over 4,000 yards and 28 touchdown passes. The absence of Zaire Franklin, the league leader in tackles, raises eyebrows, highlighting the intricacies of Pro Bowl selections.

Standout players like Rasul Douglas, Geno Stone, and Zaire Franklin are highlighted in the AFC as potential snubs. Douglas, especially since his acquisition by the Buffalo Bills, has been a difference-maker with five interceptions and an important impact on the team’s defensive success.
