Kendall Jenner Posts Nudes – And Promptly Gets Dragged For Flouting Instagram Double Standard!
Kendall Jenner clearly enjoys a great deal of privilege:She was born into a very wealthy family, and she was blessed with supermodel genes that set her apart from her beautiful siblings. Then there are the extra perks she gets just for being famous. On Thursday, it is one of those things that has people rolling their eyes.
The KUWTK alum did a great profile piece on mental health in this week’s i-D Magazine. You can read some of the best parts of that honest interview here, but she didn’t just talk about it.No, her pH๏τo spread was filled with outrageous outfits, including some tops that were very sheer. However, Luis Alberto Rodriguez’s absolutely stunning ɴuᴅᴇ pH๏τo was one of them, and she shared it with the others on her Instagram feed.
The third image on the carousel (below) is this one.Rely on us.You’ll notice it.You might actually have a chin-scratching moment as you finish picking up your jaw, wondering, “How the hell is that on Instagram?” That post has been up for over nine hours as of this writing.Meanwhile, other women have tried unsuccessfully for years to #FreeTheNipple with artistic and non-lascivious pH๏τos. It’s not because IG’s policy has changed; It just seems to be a special exemption for Her Highness.
While a lot of people have just stood up and praised the perfection, others have written about the double standard:
“Nudity???”
“Am I on the wrong website?”
“Me using a negative word on Instagram:Kendall: “Glad you’re able to post ɴuᴅᴇs on IG, when thousands of other women are deleted daily for posting things that aren’t even this naked.” Your account has been banned at the same time.Keep up the good work; perhaps they will now permit everyone to post ɴuᴅᴇ images. Oh, no, that’s not how it works.I guess it hurts us.
Don’t get us wrong here.Kendall shouldn’t have to cover up for us;We have always been #FreeTheNipple team.We just want everyone, no matter how well-known a supermodel they are, to be treated equally.
However, Kendall is not really to blame, is it not? It’s not like she demanded that it be left up or anything; all she did was post it. Readers of Perezcious, what are YOUR thoughts? Is it unfair that celebrities like Kendall Jenner and a few others seem to follow different rules on social media than everyone else?Would it be advisable for them to utilize their foundation to request uniformity??
