Taylor Swift makes donation to Tarrant Area Food Bank
Taylor Swift has been consistent on her “Eras Tour” stops.
Swift donated money Thursday to the Tarrant Area Food Bank ahead of her three-show stop at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, which starts Friday.
Swift has made donations to other food banks in cities her tour has visited. She donated to the Arizona Food Bank Network before her Glendale, Ariz., concert. She also donated to Three Square in Las Vegas on her Las Vegas stop.
The Fort Worth-based Tarrant Area Food Bank didn’t disclose the amount of the gift. But leadership did jokingly announce a rebranding of the food bank as the Taylor Area Food Bank
“We want to thank Taylor for this gift, and for caring about people who may not know where their next meal will come from in the Tarrant Area,” Julie Butner, president and CEO of the Tarrant Area Food Bank, said in a statement.
On Instagram, the food bank wrote: “THANK YOU, Taylor, for shining a light on hunger in our communities and making a difference. Join us this week as we introduce ourselves to Taylor and the Swifties on their way into the DFW Era!”
AT&T Stadium served as a location for many to receive free meals from the food bank during the holiday season and the pandemic.
